How come is this possible? I this a scam?


This is not a scam. Goa, Damão, Diu e Dadrá e Nagar Avelí have a rich history of Portuguese colonization, which lasted for over four centuries. During this time, the Portuguese left a lasting impact on culture, language, and architecture. Many Indians have Portuguese ancestry and may be eligible for citizenship through their family connections. By obtaining Portuguese citizenship, Indians can strengthen their ties to their ancestral homeland and enjoy the benefits of EU citizenship.

Will I have two citizenships?

The Indian Government is at the moment considering the dual citizenship status for Indians who choose to have a second citizenship. For this the Indian constitution needs to be modified. Until this becomes a reality Indians who apply for Portuguese citizenship can obtain a status called Overseas Citizenship of India (OCI).

Will I have two passports?

You will only be allowed by India to have one passport. Therefore, if you become Portuguese, you will have only the Portuguese passport.

Do I must have ties to the former Indian Portuguese territories?

If you have no ties to the former Indian Portuguese territories /Goa, Daman, Diu, Dadra, Nagar Haveli) we get you Portuguese citizenship and passport through different residency programs in Portugal.

I you do have ties with the former Portugese colonies, Portugal grants Portuguese nationality to citizens of Goa, Daman, Diu, Dadra, Nagar Haveli, including their descendants (children, grandchildren, etc.). We do that for you and your family.
